Job Description
As a Dishwasher, you play a role in maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen. Your primary responsibility is to ensure dishes, glassware, pots and utensils are cleaned and sanitized efficiently while keeping the kitchen and work areas orderly.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize all dishes, glassware, pots, pans, trays, and utensils following established procedures.
- Polish silver using specialized equipment or by hand.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
- Remove trash and clean garbage containers, including hosing them out as necessary.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transferring supplies, products, and equipment between storage and work areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Job Requirements
- Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous dishwashing experience is an asset but not required.
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines is preferred.
